ABOUT US

We're Happy to Meet You!

Hi, my name is Shara Lynn Jones, but most people simply know me as Lynn. I am a proud wife, mom, and grandmother – blessed with 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. Alongside my husband Curtis Jones, we work together to make Lake Road Doodles a thriving venture. Our primary aim is to nurture the healthiest and most affectionate Goldendoodle puppies in North Carolina. As a distinguished Blue Ribbon Breeder with the Goldendoodle Association of North America and recognized as an Excellent Breeder with Good Dog, we maintain high breeding standards. Situated in Hertford, NC (Winfall Area), we are conveniently located less than an hour away from Virginia and the Outer Banks (OBX). With 12 years of experience in breeding Goldendoodles, my passion for these adorable pups stems from the unique blend of intelligence and playfulness found in both the Golden Retriever and Poodle breeds. This deep affection led to the inception of Lake Road Doodles, where we take pride in our ethical breeding practices and the joy our puppies bring to families seeking a new furry companion. Every puppy is well-socialized and ready to become a beloved member of your family, bringing endless love and happiness into your home.

Our Program

Our parent dogs are more than just breeding dogs to us — they’re cherished family members. Occasionally, we rehome them once they retire at a young age of 4 or 5 to create space for new additions and ensure each dog receives ample love and attention. We prioritize their well-being with high-quality food, regular grooming sessions, an abundance of toys, and plenty of affection. Yearly veterinary check-ups are a must to guarantee their health and happiness. Follow us on TikTok for a glimpse into our daily life with these amazing dogs! For our precious pups, we start Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) between 3 to 16 days old. These practices have been proven to foster healthier puppies and help them acclimate to the world around them. As they reach about 4 weeks old, we transition them to the toddler room, introducing kennels and litter boxes for potty training. With each passing week, they explore new experiences like trips to the groomer and vet, receiving their first vaccinations, microchips, and well exams. Our puppies are evaluated to see how they react to new situations before going home, to better educate you on how to go forward with new family member. They learn to sleep in their kennels at night, and get exposed to various situations for a well-rounded upbringing. Puppies are ready to join their forever families between 8 to 12 weeks of age.
